Governance
The membership of Las Barrancas Homeowners Association (LBHOA) is made up of everyone who owns a lot in Las Barrancas. LBHOA is a New Mexico nonprofit corporation governed by its founding documents and policies and procedures subsequently adopted by its Board of Directors. Annually, every member of LBHOA votes on a slate of Board of Director candidates. Once elected, a director may serve for an unlimited number of years.
The Board of Directors meets quarterly and special meetings can be held as deemed necessary. The Board is tasked with the care and maintenance of all Common Areas within Las Barrancas and with the enforcement of the CC&Rs and policies and procedures adopted in furtherance thereof. The Board of Directors carries out some of its work through various Committees. The Board and all Committees are composed of volunteers. There is no paid staff.
